Released a year after the first volume, the second volume retailed at $45 and contained significantly different packaging than its predecessor. Its DVD counterpart was also released the same day as the Blu-ray version, which lacks the third disc and all other bonus features on the other two discs.
Like the previous volume, most shorts are their prints from Golden Collection but upgraded to HD resolution. A small handful, however, are new restorations to fit the HD resolution, primarily if the original restoration was originally restored in SD (as with the majority of the shorts from the first volume of Golden Collection).
Disc 1 serves as the "all-star" portion of the set, containing a selection of highly received shorts from the mainline Looney Tunes cast. A few shorts are new-to-disc, being "What Makes Daffy Duck", "Birdy and the Beast", "Home, Tweet Home", and "The High and the Flighty". Black-and-white shorts are included in the series for the first time here.
Disc 2 contains a bit more new shorts, although a good portion of them are still from the Golden Collection. The first short was picked as a Facebook "fan choice," being "Wabbit Twouble". Next, Chuck Jones' entire Bugs-Daffy-Elmer hunting trilogy was included. Several minor characters got their filmographies completed, including Nasty Canasta, Cecil Turtle, Beaky Buzzard, and A. Flea. Most of the shorts containing the Bugs Bunny prototype were also included, with "Hare-um Scare-um" having its original ending restored for the first time, which was originally cut by Hardaway and Dalton for reasons unknown. Only "Patient Porky" was left out for the Bugs prototype shorts. Finally, the last five shorts are select one-shot shorts that are well regarded and even dipped toes into the wartime-heavy "Russian Rhapsody".
Disc 3 is the bonus disc and contains several documentaries, alongside a few bonus shorts directed by Friz Freleng and Tex Avery, produced by Leon Schlesinger, and a selection of miscellaneous wartime cartoons. Unfortunately, nearly none of them are restored, as they are primarily ported over from the Golden Collection.
For a long time, the Blu-ray was out of print, leading to only the DVD option being available as a budget choice. Only by June 24th, 2025 would the Blu-ray see a reissue. However, the reissue is in an Amaray case without the slipcover and lacks the booklet originally included.
