Changelog

May 29, 2026

  • Added new Warner Archive Collection releases: It's a Wise Child and Possessed.
  • Removed description fluff for a few home media releases to make them more neutral.
  • It has been recently discovered that all of the Larry Doyle-produced shorts are all cropped to the 4:3 fullscreen ratio on all DVD releases (except Super Stars: Road Runner) despite being produced in 16:9 ratio, so they have all been marked as unofficial and noted as such.
  • Updated Collector's Guide.
  • NOTE: The new short "Daffy Season" has had its release date of June 22, 2026 recently announced from the Annecy Festival. However, this short will not be placed on this website until after its release date.

  • Updated title cards for a handful of shorts that didn't have HD versions on the title card upgrade document, courtesy of Ludkrillex from the Looney Tunes Wiki.
  • Fully corrected the short seasons from 1944-48, largely due to a missing 1943-44 season previously. This meant shifting most of the shorts from "Meatless Flyday" to "Hop, Look and Listen" back one year in season, while maintaining their color ring background colors. Although it might look off, these are the season ranges that were cited by moviegoer magazines at the time such as the Motion Picture Herald and The Exhibitor.
  • Corrected the color ring background for "Odor of the Day", "Riff Raffy Daffy", and "Holiday for Drumsticks" from orange to yellow.
  • Added the Collector's Recommendation Score helptip on the Warner Archive table.
  • Under-the-hood changes to continue progress on streamlining some properties when updating pages.

    • Placed "I Wanna Be a Sailor" and "The Lyin' Mouse" in the 1937-38 season per records from the New York State Archives, giving them yellow as their background color instead of blue.
    • Placed "A Feud There Was" to "You're an Education" in the 1938-39 season per a source from The Exhibitor, giving them green as their background color instead of yellow.
    • Placed "Sioux Me" in the early 1939-40 season per a source from The Exhibitor, giving it light blue as its background color instead of green.
    • Placed "Snowtime for Comedy" in the 1940-41 season per a source from The Exhibitor, giving it orange as its background color instead of purple.
    • Placed "Along Came Daffy" in the 1946-47 season per a source from The Exhibitor, giving it blue as its background color instead of orange.
    • Placed every non-Bugs Bunny cartoon from "Nothing But the Tooth" to "Holiday for Drumsticks" and every Bugs Bunny cartoon from "Hot Cross Bunny" to "High Diving Hare" in the 1947-48 season per a source from The Exhibitor.

  • Updated descriptions of home media releases that have shorts that will be included on Collector's Vault Volume 2, and improved grammar for a handful of pages, such as the restoration history page and collector's guide.
