This set marks a departure from the previous two volumes, with these sets now primarily aimed towards adult collectors over family audiences. If the new disclaimer on the back of the disc wasn't enough of a message, an unskippable introduction from Whoopi Goldberg definitely accomplishes what that disclaimer does.
For one thing, this marks the final volume of Golden Collection where there are shorts restored in SD in the main lineup, being "The Last Hungry Cat", another carryover from the Japanese I Love Tweety series. Otherwise, from this point forward, every short is restored for HD in mind, even if it meant having to do re-restorations of old prints all over again.
Otherwise, this set begins to delve deep into the shorts that are often censored or banned on television at the time. Disc 1 is yet again the Bugs Bunny showcase, with the completion of the hunting trilogy with this release. Disc 2 focuses on Hollywood caricatures at the time, including a few shorts that are seldom aired on television nowadays, such as "Wideo Wabbit" and "The Mouse That Jack Built". Disc 3 stars pig characters, primarily Porky Pig, and includes his debut short alongside a handful of intermediate shorts. Finally, disc 4 is the all-star collection, which includes a variety of shorts from various major characters.
Also included for the first time on disc are the Private Snafu wartime shorts, which aren't restored here but were added for a bit of historical background of Warner Bros. wartime output. Also included as a bonus are the first Looney Tunes, "Sinkin' in the Bathtub", and a Harman-Ising Merrie Melodies, "It's Got Me Again!" The latter short was originally intended to be the first Merrie Melodies, "Lady, Play Your Mandolin", but was changed for reasons unknown.

It might be somewhat ideal to get this set for collection's sake. It may contain a good amount of shorts available in their best state, but contain significant amounts of double dips and/or inferior versions of the shorts. If majority of the set contains unrestored versions of the shorts, they will likely to be subject to being upgraded in future sets. You may get a better value getting a higher rated set.
