The last volume, released over three years after the previous one, also marked the final LaserDisc release in the US. As most of the previous AAP shorts were already done in previous volumes, this set includes a much smaller "55" cartoons, of which a good fraction was bonus material. Most of these were one-shots from the 1930s that were not in previous volumes and thus complete the entire AAP library outside the Censored Eleven.
This set, being released after the creation of the 1995 dubbed versions, began using those versions for practically all cartoons included that weren't on side 1 or 8, of which only "The Merry Old Soul" survived not being a 1995 dubbed version. As a result, those cartoons notably had their original ending titles lost in favor of the stock ending card that was used for all cartoons with the dubbed disclaimer, much to the chagrin of a lot of collectors at the time. On the other hand, the cartoons themselves were presented in a much better video quality compared to previous volumes.
Each side of the discs represents a specific theme that includes 7 shorts each:
For most collectors, the release of this final volume was considered a major victory. The entirety of the AAP library (sans the Censored Eleven) was made available on some format of home media, and it went to show that even the most obscure of the library was never to be ignored. Even to this day, the entirety of the series has yet to be fully usurped by digital disc media like DVD and Blu-ray, and with the inclusion of several shorts that contain racial/ethnic stereotyping, it might be a significant while before they all even come out on a modern format.
But there was more going on behind the scenes that was actually pulled from the final product. There were plans to include the original titles of "Have You Got Any Castles", "Book Revue", and the original audio track of "The Crackpot Quail" that had a razzing noise instead of a whistle (which was changed due to the Hays Office). Since Turner and Warner Bros. were unable to negotiate the proper inclusion, it ended up never happening. Luckily, later digital disc releases have made some of these exclusions come true.

Each side of the discs represents a specific theme that includes 7 shorts each:
- Side 1 (Disc 1) contains the remaining Harman-Ising era shorts that were not present in previous volumes. Unlike the other sides, none of the shorts are their 1995 dubbed versions, and for some reason, "A Great Big Bunch of You" is double dipped here, likely to fill up one remaining slot.
- Side 2 (Disc 1) provides the final set of early Tex Avery-directed shorts.
- Side 3 (Disc 2) is yet again dedicated to Friz Freleng and contains cartoons directed by him.
- Side 4 (Disc 2) generally features musical Merrie Melodies cartoons from the 1930s.
- Side 5 (Disc 3) focuses on cartoons themed around animals that are normally kept as pets. Particularly, this finishes up the rest of the Two Curious Puppies.
- Side 6 (Disc 3) showcases a handful of "objects coming to life" cartoons.
- Side 7 (Disc 4) features cartoons with all-animal casts. This is also the last side with new cartoons.
- Side 8 (Disc 4) is the bonus content side. It includes the prototypical version of "Hare Ribbin'" with the original ending where Bugs shoots the Russian Dog in the mouth. It also includes all three of the Mr. Hook cartoons (all under the public domain and not officially in the AAP or Sunset package), alongside Bugs' appearances in Two Guys from Texas and My Dream Is Yours.

It might be somewhat ideal to get this set for collection's sake. It may contain a good amount of shorts available in their best state, but contain significant amounts of double dips and/or inferior versions of the shorts. If majority of the set contains unrestored versions of the shorts, they will likely to be subject to being upgraded in future sets. You may get a better value getting a higher rated set.
